What sound or noise do you love?

I like the sound of rain tapping on the window when I’m cuddled under my blanket.

What sound or noise do you hate?

The sound of someone clearing their throat makes my skin crawl.

What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?

I’d like to write speeches.

What profession would you not like to do?

Military.

More Manic Mondays

It’s 12:44 am and I’m trying to figure out how to get all my chores done, so my Sunday will be totally free.

There’s already a pile of stuff in the corner waiting to be thrown out.

My grandmother has been on my mind all evening.  I was in a store and there was a man from Italy talking to the person at the counter.  His very Italiano accent reminded me of her.  She had quite a bit of an accent herself.

My laptop is over three years old, and it’s still in excellent condition.  This doesn’t stop me from wanting a brand new one.  There is absolutely no way I can justify the expense - yet ;)

The very short piece of fiction I posted on my creative writing blog this week needs revision.  It’s actually based on a real life experience I hd a couple years back.  I’ve printed out a double spaced copy, and will work on it on the subway & bus tomorrow morning.

My blogbuddy is working on the logo for my next blog.  I can’t wait to see what she comes up with.

I’m getting sleepy.  Golden Girls is on.  I love Bea Arthur.  She just tossed a saleman out of the house - no one slams a door like Bea.  It reminds me of when she played Maude on the TV series of the same name.  I can still hear her say, “God will get you for that Walter.”

I found a bag of Star Wars action figures I bought at a Midnight Sale back in ‘99.  The long awaited fourth movie was coming out - The Phantom Menace - and everyone had Star Wars fever.  A friend and I were walking around Union Square when we saw that Toys-R-Us was all lit up and there was a huge line.  For fun we got on the line and bought a few figures.  I foudn them last night in the original bag.  Think I’ll put them on ebay and see what happens.

Well, time for me to go to bed.

You all take care.

If your personality had to be summed up as a sandwich, what kind of sandwich would you be?

I would be a panini with simple ingredients but a piquant sauce!

If you knew that someone was dying, but they didn’t know, would you tell them the truth or deceive them about it?

That’s a hard call.  I think I would go with deceiving them for as long as possible.

Do you dress the same when you are depressed as you do when you are very happy?

Actually I do everything I can to perk myself up, including getting a haircut, manicure and buying a new outfit.

I believe in wearing my brightest colors on a rainy day.

More Manic Mondays

Right now I’m thinking about how much I would like to work in the arts.

Maybe a museum or theatre or even something to do with alternative continuing education.

And did you know I’ve always wanted to start a women’s consciousness rasing group?

I’m thinking about an argument I had with a friend yesterday.  Part of me wants to just say okay I’m sorry.  But the thing is all of me knows that I was right.

Tonight I saw a young woman in Starbucks with the smallest Panasonic laptop.  I want one so bad.  And this from the lady whose usually buys the widest ones they have.  Things just change - what can I tell you?

Oh and I just finished posting a review about that movie I saw Sunday - Savage Grace.

http://blogjem.com/2008/06/09/savage-grace/

Ideas for possible headers for my new blog are bouncing around in my mind.  It’s going to be about New York, and I want everything perfect.

Halloween just cruised through my mind.  I had so much fun at the haunted house they ran down on Rivington Street.  Definitely going more than once next time it’s on.

Hmmmm…I guess that’s about it for now.

Everybody Loves Raymond is on.  Whenever I watch it I think about growing up with my crazy Italian family.   Though Marie is Shirley Temple compared to Grandma LOL.

Night all.
